누구나 간절하게 원하고 바라는 것들이 있을 것입니다. 우리는 그 간절함을 증명하기 위해 어떠한 행동으로 그것을 표현해내곤 합니다. 그것은 곧, 염원과 바람을 가득 담아낸 간절한 기도라는 행위로서 이어집니다. 결국 내면의 감정을 비롯해 삶 속 크고 작은 기쁨, 내면의 성숙함과 나를 찾아가는 과정이 기도가 아닐까 싶습니다.
그런 의미에서, 종교적 의미를 떠나서 두 작가 각자의 작업 과정과 작품에 대한 이해를 통해 기도라는 행위에 대해 생각해볼 수 있는 전시를 기획했습니다.
염원하는 마음의 소리를 담아내며 한 점이 찍히고, 그 점들이 모여 선을 이루고 또 그 선들이 모여 한 면으로 가득 채워진 작품들을 감상하며 나를 찾아가는 길에 한발짝 더 가까워져보는건 어떨까요?
이번 전시를 통해 사람들이 내면의 성숙함을 찾아가는 시간을 갖기를 바라며, 간절함이 만들어낸 아름다운 에너지를 통해 마음의 위안과 평온, 희망을 전달받을 수 있기를 바랍니다.
There will be things that everyone desperately wants and desire. We often express it in some way to prove that earnestness. It soon leads to an act of earnest prayer filled with aspirations and wishes.
I would like to think that prayer is the process of finding inner feelings, big and small joys in life, inner maturity, and finding oneself.
A&M is presenting an exhibition that we could think about the act of prayer through the understanding of the work and work process of each of the two artists, regardless of the religious meaning.
Why don't you take a step closer on your way to find yourself by capturing dots with a wishful heart, gathering the dots to form lines, and appreciating the works filled with those lines?
Through this exhibition, I hope people will have time to find inner maturity, and hope that they will be able to receive comfort, peace, and hope through the beautiful energy created by earnestness.
